Hey keith,
Are you still planning to move your goods to goa? I was thinking of the possiblity that we could share a 20ft container if it is suitable for the both of us. I am looking to move my goods around the 8th of April. Let me know what u think? Remy I am moving on 27th June and if it is cost effective then yes, it would be a good idea. We dont have any big furniture just boxes and pictures, bean bags etc .Please PM me of what the total cost of container would be. Best Regards Keith |

Rates are 1.75£ and no handling charge and collection charge. If you know any better let me know. I tried the CargoForce you found but it works out expensive as they do not collect the goods from your home and they have handling charges above 100kgs All the best, remy |

Re: Container Sharing to Mumbai
I am moving to Goa from Scotland in November so will aim to move my stuff around August, if anyone wants to share a container then great. My husband is Goan and knows people in the ship yard as his father was chief of welding there so will not have to worry about big payouts!!

We shipped all our house contents to Goa last August (moved for good) and arranged a 40 foot sea container to wait outside our house while we loaded it ourselves. We did all packing and loading ourselves only paying for the sea container which cost £1200 (direct from our house in Hastings all the way to the port in GOA - not Mumbai - specify Goa- 'Mormagao' when booking ). Customs clearing we paid separately, and had to arrange ourselves, but was considerably cheaper than arranging it all from the UK end.
Please PM me if you require any shipping or Goa customs contact details. We have been there and done it! Julia x Can you please say which company you used? £1200 is a fantastic quote. Thanks Tushar |
