Re: Acron Homes
Great news Noni.
My twopenn'orth for what it's worth is that I think you would have heard from the D of E again if they were going to send the bailiffs in. But they are probably unlikely to confirm to you that all is well. The fact that you have been on tenterhooks for months won't matter to them. I hope you continue to have good "no news". |

Have any of the Acron people had them? |

Babu1,
the lady you know who got the "15 days notice to leave India" letter, tried to oppose it at the FRO, but ended up making a quick holiday to Sri Lanka where she got a 6 month to tourist visa. - do you know what prompted the "leave India" letter - did she overstay her visa? apply for an extension or what? just curious AndyD 8-) |

Yes, I know people on leases who have had letters from D of E, but these particular people are not in Acron developments, they are in two different developments with separate developers. Regards |

Regards It looks as if they will eventually have a go at everybody. It will keep them busy for a few years. Perhaps that is why they have captured Douglas to shift out the ....... from the shaft. Hope he remember I am his friend. Regards Noni |

She believes it was a consequence of having a very angry letter by her (against the general racist, anti foreigner tone in the media) publiished in the local press and her various threats to take matters to Margaret Beckett who she also wrote to. Subsequently, the British Foreign Ofice published a warning to UK citizens of the dangers of buying property in India, particularly Goa, which the Goan press jumped on as front page news interpreting it to their slant as "British Government Declare Foreigner's Purchase Of Property In Goa Is Illegal". I'm not certain she's aware of the 60 day notice to apply for a visa extension. However, this past year, most people I know who attempted to do that at Panjim within the correct timescale were served a "notice to quit" letter anyway, or were told to go to Delhi or return to their home country to apply for an extension. Regards |

Article Conversion sanad of 15 projects revoked in North Goa? Does that mean new building projects? Yes, this is to do with building work that came under the 2011 Regional Plan which has since been scrapped. Some scrupulous building work that came under this plan was halted due to pressure from the GBA and General public. Some building work has aparently continued and the GBA have threatened to take to the streets again in protest if it didnt stop. So now 15 projects have been revoked.........not sure exactly what this means but i have read that some New Builds are being demolished. I guess there will be some very annoyed property developers out there but this is what happens when you try and buy politicians. Anyway thats my take on it......but im sure others out there will be able to provide 'meat on the bones' of what i have posted. Remy Ps. I take it Douglas is still protesting at Heathrow. |
