hi Rose and Mick my wife and i bought an apartment at villa nina in apora, off plan with acron homes, and the sisterinlaw brought next door We received the keys December 2005 while on holiday and viewed, completed the snagging which was minimal and was completed be for we left.It was completed 3 months early,we were very pleased with the standard of the finish.We are visiting November to furnish as much as we can (and still try and get some sun) and may be trying to get 6 months next year be for deciding to retire there. lolo

Thanks for the reply nice to hear of someone who`s bought and completed there purchase with Acron as I said we are going at the end of January to view the progress, I haven`t got much of an imagination, as to what it will all be like finished but it will be nice to see exactly where it is. We went to the market at Apora the last time we were there Christmas Eve to be exact. It was an unusual place to spend Christmas Eve but wouldn`t have missed it for anything i`m sure we`ll be spending more Saturday nights there. Like most women I like my markets and Arpora was something else.
You must let me know how you get on with the furnishing how long it takes for everything to be delivered etc. Unfortunately we both work and our holidays are limited with work commitments so it would be nice to know how much you can get done in a couple of weeks.

Hi Rosemary, dont know anyone else whos bought out there, been on Acron sight and theres a few developments at Siolim and when we spoke to the guy out there he said there had been a lot of interest from the British.
Were not quite sure how much time we will be spending there, wish it could be full time but as Dave said were to young to retire but i can go on dreaming.
Christmas and New year sounds great, trying to confince Dave is another thing, we normally have the family at our house but each year seems to get harder and harder and its getting to much hard work.
Cannot wait untill January, keep checking their web sight to see how its progressing but still cannot wait to see it for ourselfs. Who do you fly with? The first time we went over we were booked onto Monarch flights, never again, in March we booked through First Choice and there flights were great loads more legroom and a tv in the back of every seat, just a pity you cannot fly from Newcastle direct. Hi Sue and Dave at least we`ve found 3 couples who have bought on Villa maria and another who has bought on Villa Nina so we know some of our new neighbours exciting isn`t it.
The last time we went we travelled with mytravel they were really good and it was a direct flight which was great, as before we have refuelled in Bahrain but January we are going with Monarch we`ve flown with them before and they`ve been fine but not to Goa, as long as we get there safe I don`t care.
Yes Christmas and New Year were great you must talk Dave into trying it,but the flight prices almost double.
It sounds as though you will be using your apartment like us at least at first for holidays we hope to go for a couple of weeks twice a year Mick is older than me but he`s not going for 6 months without me!so he`ll have to wait for me to retire as well. Will you be renting your apartment out it would be handy maybe for both of us if family or friends want to holiday with you to know someone we can perhaps help one another out.Well here`s to January holidays and many more to come. Hi Susan and Dave, thank you for your message. Raziya and I are flying out on 7th January and will be staying in Candolim (I forget the name of the resort at the moment). The main idea is to have a break and also to see how the work is progressing. Like you, we monitor it on the Acron website, but there is nothing like seeing it in 3 dimension yourself!

Hi Rosemary, very exiciting and that sounds a great idea about helping one another out, im sure like yourselfs we have lots of family and friends that will want to come out. Now counting down the weeks untill we go, 14 to be exact (how sad is that) but cannot wait. Hi Susan don`t forget to let us no how you get on. We will be there on the 27th of January so if there`s anything you forget to ask or anything you would like us to check out let us know same for you Chandu. I`m afraid as we are in apartment block F we have nothing to see on the website yet as ours is the only block not started on. Hope they don`t forget ours. I wish it was this year they were completing but the time will pass quickly enough I suppose. Just started my Christmas shopping to-day to try and get that out of the way to make time pass a little faster.It`s my birthday on the 27th of January the day we travel to Goa I`ve always hated my birthday being in the winter but it`s quite nice now we have somewhere to go to celebrate. Birthdays on the beach from now on!

Hi rosemary, I'm sure they wont forget but to make sure ill remind them when we go over.I now how you feel about wishing it was this year to complete but like you said time will soon pass and it will be here before we know it.
Dave's gone off to Blackpool this weekend on his annual :beer: trip so i think thats what id do, go christmas shopping. Cannot wait to put my christmas tree up (I'm like a big daft kid) normally its up by the end of the first week of December but this year its going up on the 1st, got the day off from work, put up the tree and the decorations and then that night we are off to see The Rat Pack, their playing a one night christmas performance so looking forward to that, well bye for now, lots of shopping to do take care Sue

Hes more of a gin & tonic guy but now and again he does have a few bottles of brown ale. What yours and Raziya poison? mine is Rose wine (Dave would tell you its anything thats going) but my favorite at the moment is rose.

Hi Sue here`s to a few bottles of Rose on the balcony's or honeybee I tried some of the white wine in Goa last visit and was pleasantly surprised. Cant wait to be having a tipple watching the sun go down but I suppose we`ll be a bit busy on our next few visits. We`ve been talking about going for Christmas next year the apartments should be finished and we might be able to manage 3 weeks off work then by taking the first week of January. The flights are much more expensive but we`ll save by not buying loads in at home. Anyway will wait to see whats said when we see Acron in January we met John Britto at the Manchester show I asked if the development would be finished on time and he assured me it would be, he said there reputations depended on them delivering on time.
