5 year x visa

At present i have the 5 year x visa (soon to expire).
On the visa outsourcing web page, it is possible to click, a long term visa.
I know i may not get another 5 year x visa, but i want to try.
It took me 2 years to get this one.
I have my contract for my flat in Goa, Indian bankstatements, Indian investments through my bank, proof of tax paid ETC.
Where and when do i hand this paperwork in?.
Do i give it over the counter, when i hand my application into outsourcing?.
Someone must of tried to get this longer term visa?.
Any help?.
[email protected]
Does anyone yet have a telephone number for outsourcing, they will answer?.
thx.:rofl::thumbup::thumbdown:

Think somebody is winding you up! or they found somebody to bung rupees too. Of course, greasing somebodies palm would be cheaper than two trips to UK each year to renew visa's :sneaky:

Re: 5 year x visa

Morse, did they take your paperwork to the Indian embassy?.
Was the office manager strict?.
Give me any details please as a 2 year visa will be better than
a 6 month.
I know i will need to go out every 180 days, no problem.
Anyone got a telephone number outsourcing that works (they answer).
Thx;)

This was last summer when you could go to the embassy and wait.
I went into the embassy to the visa room, passed all the counters, at the end of the counters is door, knocked and spoke to "office manager" he just took the file away for 15 mins and came back and said 2 years.

It is very frustrating when you cannot pick up a phone and talk to a person direct. These things are sent to try us - the beauty of India.

Morse, thanks for the prompt reply, if i cant get the 5 year year, a 2 year will suffice, any ideas where i can hand all my paperwork into now.
I dont think the Embassy will see me.
Do you know if outsourcing will take this paperwork to the embassy for me?.
Thx

Hi Poppetjay,
Your friends are indeed very lucky, I've just had my request for a Two year tourist visa turned down and my £90 postal order returned with a message saying that the India embassy are only issuing six month tourist visas and that i should reapply for one of these.
I suggest your friend frames and photographs her five year visa as they will certainly become a collectors item, It wasn't obtained from the Indian gentleman from Southall who was recently arrested for providing passports, driving licences, N.I numbers etc, was it ?

Re: 5 year x visa

Sorry, you were turned down.
Which Indian visa did you already hold?.
Seems to me, from what im reading on different forums,
if you already have had the 5 year visa, the consulate,
are more likely to give a long term visa???.
As long as you have plenty of paperwork to back it up.
Thx
