Hi all,
douglas sez i told you so!
This may well not yet have taken effect from applications applied for at the London HC, however the revised application forms in Bangkok now show a 1, 2 3, or 6 month option for tourist visas. (section 22 on the form) ( n.b previously the only option was 6 months) It will only be a matter of time.

and i told you so again
These x visas appear to be renewed regardless of intention to stay and simply fuel the false sense of security that some FNs have.ie many should not have had them in the first place and unless the intention has changed, shouldnt have them renewed either.

"I told you so" is rather childish.
4 This matter had been engaging the attention of the concerned authorities in India for quite some time. It was, therefore, decided to outsource the collection and delivery process while the processing of visa applications including the decision to grant a visa or otherwise would continue to remain with the High Commission/Consulates General.
Birmingham before the beginning of June seems the likeliest option and then we will have to wait and see what par 4 above means.

I told you so was meant tongue in cheek emsirrah.
There is something of the child in douglas, the attempts at humor, the toe chewing, the dribbling and bed wetting for example
kind regards

During December 07 when London HCI stopped recieving postal visa applications, Janis and the Kids had to go to the Indian Embassy Dublin for their visas. We had done this before so knew the drill......but this time when they got their passports back they contained 3 month single entry visas in each....we could'nt believe it!
This was the main reason why we did'nt return at Easter this year.
All the HCIs appear to be tightening up bigtime and IMO it will only get tighter. When they introduce the tourist visa on entry system, we will be lucky to get anything more than a 6 week visa and it will be near impossible to get anything else....wait and see.
Regards,
Remy
