I must admit that had I been in the UK I would have voted to exit. Now of course my pension from England has dropped considerable. A couple of months ago the city wrote to me and my wife inviting us to take out German nationality and keep our British passport. Do you think I should?

Well, that's your choice.

But the long-term prognosis for Britain isn't all that optimistic. I myself am considering Spanish citizenship. Not because I believe Spain will become some icon of greatness, but because I'm not entirely convinced my British citizenship will benefit me in any way in the future. In fact, it may well be a burden.
