thank Tres, and everyone else who has sent me pm's
saw dr again today - had arm x-rayed yesterday and was hoping cast could come off but no such luck. They are talking about bone scans and CT scans now
and have to see orthopaedic dr next week. doesn't look like I'll be back in France before Easter now so feeling pretty sorry for myself
I'm getting cabin fever here

I have decided that I don't like 2008 and I want it to end now.
As most of you know, I'm still stuck in Canada with arm in plaster and neck in brace from recent car accident.
Had a phone call tonight from my cousin in London to say my aunt, who has always been more like a mother to me, fell yesterday and is in hospital having surgery tonight on a fractured hip. The hospital have said there is only a 50/50 chance she will survive the operation. As a nurse, I am also aware of the complications she faces if she does pull through. Have spent the last few hours on the internet looking at flights to get back to B,ham but there is a major storm blowing here, which is disrupting things considerably.
I know if I was in France, even with a broken arm, I could have got to B,ham already today. Just feeling a bit "merde" right now and want to come home. Know just how ET must have felt
