Can anyone recommend doctors that are accepting new patients please and any coffee morning etc to help get to know people
Thanks

Have asked the moderators to move this post to the France forum as 'The Lounge' is not really for country specific questions.

Taking this one step further, a quick search gave THIS report. You should note that it indicates the Pyrenees-Orientales as having an average of 119 general practictioners per 100,000 inhabitants which is below the national average which in 2021 was 140 per 100,000 and still reducing.
As Argeles sur Mer (like Collioure) appears to be one of the more popular residential resorts you may find that getting accepted onto doctor's books may be difficult. Likewise for a dentist which is equally important - but sincerely hope I'm mistaken on both counts.
Agreed it's a very pleasant area, in fact we've planned a few days in Argeles sur Mer in a few week's time.

Re: Moving to Argeles sur mer
A quick look in the Pages Jaunes showed 16 Généralistes in Argelès sur Mer, not bad for the number of inhabitants. I imagine the medical deserts in the 66 are inland, like in the Hérault....
On the other hand, I don't think there are many BE members in Argelès to answer your enquiry and you'd have to ask your new neighbours for recommendations, or simply contact their Cabinets directly.
No idea about "coffee mornings" (not a very French thing IMO) in the area, but the Mairie gives a list of all the clubs and associations in the town, and you can join some and meet people with the same interests.

Enjoy your new adventure!

It's not far from Spain, so with Cross Border Healthcare you might even have options in Figueres or Roses if needed. dmu is probably right with medical deserts being inland and Perpignan should also be fine.
Even Empuriabrava seems to have good medical centres and they speak English.

Depending on your age, there's a U3A Pyrenees Orientales branch with lots of different interest groups to join in with. https://u3apo.org/?page_id=691
I Think it's usually aimed at age 50+
PS I love Argeles, hope you are happy there!!
