I was wondering can anyone give me detailed driving instructions to get from calis france port to the border of spain please avoiding all tolls ?

and can anyone reccomend a safe place to park with a car overnight after getting off the ferry ?

Use Google, it also helps to clarify which side of Spain you want to end up in....

Keep it simple and pay the tolls, non peage routes tend to have a slower speed limit 110 instead of the normal 130.

But Viamichelin give you the option to included toll's avoid them and gives journey cost etc

Avoiding tolls will add about three and a half hours to a journey that will already take over ten hours using toll roads.

You should consider taking a ferry directly from Plymouth or Portsmouth to northern Spain, which not only avoids the French tolls but also saves the cost of petrol not to mention the effort of driving and wear and tear on your vehicle.
Per Chatter_Static, using Google Maps, select the start and end points, then from the "Options" select "Avoiding tolls". This is what you end up with for Calais to San Sebastian in north east Spain avoiding toll roads.

I wouldn't bother with satnav as Google maps would give you everything you need using your phone, but satnav should give you the same options.

You get more speed cameras on the non autoroute options and most if not all cites in France tend to be 90 km or less on their peripherique's/ring roads and it does tend to be enforced more. We also have a new speed camera car here which has cameras at the front and back and works whilst in motion.
