Heres an interesting option, not politically correct where you are, but not frowned on here. Here, there is no law against drinking and driving. As a result, people who are drunk may choose to sleep in their car or drive home at 5mph on the road, as nobody has to appear to be sober. If impaired but aware of the imparement, and with no legal issue, one can choose to be relatively safe and avoid accidents etc. Interestingly, there are also non-drunk drivers who are simply timid at night and choose to crawl along to keep it all safe, and not damage their pride and joy, interesting place.

NB there are hire drive guides that generically warn against drunk driving here, problem is, it isnt in the statutes/laws, and any politician suggesting it isnt likely to win. Dangerous driving or having at fault accidents on the road however is definitely against the law, 'dont bounce' is the rule...
