On reflection, I apologize to any French newbies who may have difficulty with this. It's a play-upon-words, which even in English often can be difficult to grasp.
It's a pun on the word 'langues' which can mean languages or (especially in this case) tongues......

One of my first observations on starting my new role in Paris was that the office seems to be jam packed with attractive young women. Now that I know most of them I can confirm that beauty is only skin deep.

Well, at the risk of sounding shallow, and at the mature age of 52, and having struggled all me life to make my mark as an unattractive woman, I'd swap my degree, nice personality, sewing skills and ability with a chainsaw any flippin day if I looked like Carli Bruni ............. she can keep her voice though
