Hi, I just thought i would post a response to say a big thank you to all those who enquired about the translation work i was seeking assistance for, earlier in the month.
I must say the responses have been very positive and i received a substantial amount of interest from suitable candidates willing to help and provide their skills and assistance.
I would also like to say THANK YOU britishexpats.com - you have made my life so much easier. Your hard work in developing this website has made life easier for me to find the resources i need.
Keep up the good work.

I know Nimrod isn't always very quick at replying but he did write to me offline so I will just share that he said he had now found two people to do the work. It's interesting to find what a skilled lot we are if he had so many suitable offers. I'm in the process of setting up my own business and coming across some of the anomalies in the system. As a complementary health practitioner I would have to start a 'Reel' company, not go down the micro route which an artisan or craftsman could do. The big problem on this is that as I am semi retired I would only be wanting to work part time. This means I wouldn't be earning much but I would still have to pay 3000€ up front each year in cotisation. (Think N.I.contributions and tax etc) as I would count as someone following a profession liberal like a doctor or dentist. That's all very well but I'd be lucky if I was earning that in a year. Apparently I can try and negotiate for a lower rate but would have to renegotiate each year. Part of it can be reimbursed at the end of the year.
