CB, honest to god, if I can do it anyone can, more fires in my kitchen than in the Stygian pits, it is really easy. And not cooking as such, more "melting" and the trick is just to make sure the sugar melts first. Then all you need to be able to do really is read a clock - ie wait 5 minutes.

Oh and use a soda syphon - another dangerous death-defying implement carefully disguised as a bar aid.
