Default Any Brits in Bordeaux??

Hey, I'm wondering if there are any Brits in the Bordeaux area that could point me in the right direction to have birth certificates translated by an official organisation to submit with my S1 for healthcare for myself and my two little girls???

Hi, all certified translators are listed in your local Mairie/Préfecture/Tribunal, but if you google "Traducteurs assermentés Bordeaux", you'll get their addresses straight away. I don't know what they charge nowadays but when I needed one (last century), the bill in francs was a shock.

Afraid I can't help with an official translator in your area.
Just a query though. Were you asked for official translations of the birth certificates, or are you assuming that it's necessary?
I certainly wasn't asked for translations when I submitted all relevant documents for S1 healthcare.
Is this request for English document translations becoming common? May be interesting to hear from others having had similar requests, or is this exceptional?

Hi, I'm beginning to wonder why I needed a certified translation of my Birth Certificate in another life! Not for healthcare since I was salaried from the beginning. Maybe for the Carte de Séjour, since the UK wasn't in the Common Market yet.. Maybe when I got married here...That's as may be.
As no one here has needed to provide a certified translation for S1 healthcare, I should just submit all your birth certificates in English. If it's a recent requirement, the Authorities will tell you!
