Default Taxes in Switzerland

Hi,

I am looking for a kind of excel sheet to calculate my taxes if I would work for a company in Switzerland. Does anybody know an internet address or book for this?

Also COL for Zurich would be interesting

Thanks

As a foreigner your taxes are deducted from your salary and you dont need to file a tax claim (which is a big disadvantage actually). Rates vary according to Cantons and salary range. FOr example, i paid 18% tax on a 110,000 CHF salary in Vaud (Lausanne). You have to add AVS (pension) 5.5% and unemplyment 1.5% . Rates are pretty low if you earn less.

As for COL in Zurich, it is very high, especially appartments and any form of going out. Be ready.

Have fun
G.
