The Estonians seem to feel they are close to Finland (related language ?) I could not find a better place to slot this. Has anyone else seen the documentary on the sinking of the car ferry "Estonia" ? A murky story.

The possibilty of electronic residence might be tempting for some. Only mentiones marginally in the documentary is the presence of a large Russian-speaking minority. Not just Russians but Russian-speakers. They are probably quite diverse ethnically. as in most areas that were part of The Soviet Union.

As well as Lesley Riddoch I know the man who was Estonian Consul in Scotland. He is retired now but still encourages links between these two countries.
