That is the end of my Holiday Dialysis in Europe. For me that means I cannot visit grandchildren. I could pay for it if someone lends me £1000 for 2 weeks treatment.

The replacement is the GHIC. Not as comprehensive but yy understanding is that it will allow us to get treatment for Kidney Dialysis, Chemotherapy etc in the 27 EU member states. It will make it possible for me to travel to visit family and friends in Europe.

I asked Kidney Care UK to clarify what may be possible when travel is opened up. Their reply today." I hope you are well. If we are allowed to travel you will be able spend up to 90 days (in chunks or all at once) every 6 months in the EU so this should easily cover your holiday hopes.
Best wishes, Fiona"

That does not mean 90 days on Dialysis of course. It seems I can get 6 treatment, that is cover for 2 weeks..
I am not looking this gift horse in the mouth ! The "90 Days in 6 months" referred to is the permitted length of stay before applying for visas and residence and all the rest of it.
