Victoria University GSM
I am going for a 176 sponsored visa via WA. I have been advised by immigration agent to use Vic Uni for my skills assessment which is quicker and would be carried out over Skype.
Has anyone done theirs through them and/or knows what exactly Skype interview consists of in questions and format?

How long will the process take?
The process takes a maximum of seven weeks from receipt of application and payment.
How is the technical interview conducted?
You will be required to attend one of our offices to participate in a Technical Interview conducted via Skype.

as far as I know the only people that can assess your skill as an electrician for a skilled visa is Vetessass are you sure your agent is right?
My mate has applied for a 176 from WA and he had to use Vetessass.

And what will you get. Do you receive an OSTR or a ARTC?

Re: Victoria University GSM
You will receive an OTSR.
What qualification will I receive if I'm successful?
Successful applicants will receive a Certificate III - Australian Qualification for non-licensed trades; for licensed trades they will receive an Offshore Technical Skills Record (OTSR). This will allow applicants to apply to the relevant state/territory licensing regulator for provisional electrical license. This permit to work allows them to work under supervision of qualified tradespersons.

I've just read a post by a sparky, on the PIO site, and they are having this assessment on Tuesday. It costs $650 for apaper based assessment and then a further $1550 for the actual interview.
I keep an eye on the thread to see how they get on.

Yeah I tried to link the site, but the all seeing eyes are not letting me.
It can be found at ************* in the migration issues forum, and the thread
is entitled ' Electrician skype interview with Vic Uni'

Apparently, the interview questions were based on the Tradeset form on their website www.tradeset.com.au.
