Smile TRA -How do I obtain an Electrical License, when I am from overseas

Hi
I am a PR hoder in computing field(full time IT professional) & still didn't migrate to AUSI. I also have completed electronics & telecom diploma & been working as an electrical supervisor (part time).

Thus i want to apply for victoria Electrical License before migrate. But they request TRA assesment about my qualification. Please give any advise regards this issue since this assesment is not for the skill migration. It is not clearly defind in TRA assesment procedure. Please see following link to check victoria requirmnts.

Thanx
your mixing up a tra and artc application

tra -- trade recognition australia ( for migration purposes only )

artc -- australia recognised trade certificate ( for people who already have a visa and what to be recognised as the equivilent of an australian trained trades person )

start - http://www.deewr.gov.au/Skills/Progr...ages/home.aspx

then read -- http://www.deewr.gov.au/Skills/Progr...Pages/faq.aspx

personally i dont think you`ll get anywhere unless you can show 7 years experiance as your "trade" is electronics and telecommunications ( you may be able to get a restricted licence but that would be down to local state requirements )
