why do you want your money back ??

Or do you mean you want to claim it back from through your tax return?

Keep all your receipts for courses, books etc until the end of the tax year (which is June 30th) and then when you are ready to do your tax return just put the amounts in the appropriate places on the e-tax software (or let your tax agent do it if you are using one)

I am not sure how much you can claim now as it may have changed since we did it, but you could try a practise run with last years e-tax software ( http://ato.gov.au/individuals/pathwa...pc=001/002/014 )

There are all sorts of other stuff you can deduct from your taxable income, just look through and you'll get an idea of what they are.

This year I even claimed about $100 for laundry
