Hello again more help required.
I never served a formal apprenticeship as such as where i had an employer at the start of my 2360 course.
For my first year i went to collage of my own back whilst doing another job. I used to help a mate out who was a sparky at weekends to get a bit of knowledge and after my first year knew enough to get a job full time with him earning a bit of money and also holding down another job to pay the morgage.
This was in 2004 and for the last 5 years 3 of them after finishing the 2360 pt1 and 2 have always worked as a sparks. Also done the 2381, 2382, and the 2391 aswell.
As you can see i had had training whilst learning but not a formal apprenticeship as they go.
On the vetassess aplication it specifically askes if you undertook a formal apprenticeship will this effect my chance or shall i just say yes i did.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thankyou.

Check this link. 2 years minimum for no formal training. you have your training and sounds like you have enough experience. As long as you can proof it with things like wage slips references etc

Get as much info as you can. if there not happy with your application they will bin it and swallow your money, only for you to pay for it again!
If your not sure call them late at night about 11pm around 9 in the morning there. Dont waste time emailing them! they rarely reply.
If you can not get references from your employers then get a supervisor to do it. I had this problem where i did my apprentiship as the company went bust a while ago. Just got my old supervisor to right a reference. Made sure he put a contact phone number in but they never checked up on it. some stuff you will need to get solicited like: wage slips, certificates etc.
If you worked for your self like me (self employed) you will need to supply registration i.d cards such as JIB, N.A.P.I.T, NIC EIC (again these will need to be solicited as true copies). Tax letters, P60s V.A.T registration certificate, business account statements, letters from merchants (c.e.f or edmundsons) saying how long you traded with them, what type of materials they supplied you with and that they verify you traded as that company/contractor etc. put as much in as possible. and makke a copy of the lot just incase you go down the TRA route.
on that link above is some pdf files for help with self employed or paye apps

if you tick the box that says YES then you must provide evidence of your apprentiship with all exam certificates as well.
you can still aplly for a visa via ARTC or Vatessess if you have 7 years post training, meaning after you have done 7 years on the job your OK. you must still provide evidence that you have worked for a company for that time get letters from any past or present employers to validate your employment with them also make sure all documents are signed & dated then they are a legal document.
If you go down the rd of telling lies they will find it mate, then you shall just be refused a visa
