John had his appointment on Wednesday and we can send off the application tomorrow. And its our first anniversary today - arrived in Aus 4 March 2006, so it seems to us it will be over 12 months from start to finish...........
The six of us should have a celebration meal in 2-3 weeks when John gets his?

Congrats on the anniversary. The meal sounds like a great idea, will definately be up for that. It will be good to have something to celebrate.
Take it easy, see you soon

Could you tell me what course he did and did he have his artc in order to do course, as I'm having a right job getting my artc.
Any info would be a great help.

Hi Gary,
Have you talked to your local MP? I would imagine s/he should be able to help in some way. If you tell them that you have been accepted for migration, but now all of a sudden you don't have enough experience (or whatever it was that you got turned down for) they should be able to intervene in some way.
Also it might be worth you talking to your local training agency about what your options are if you can't get your certificate for some reason.
Failing that give Glenn Newton a call (he's a TRA expert as he used to be the director, so should be able to help) http://www.australianmigrationsolutions.com/aboutus.htm

Thanks for the info Wendy. I've sent Glenn an email, someone else mentioned his name to me in another forum. As for getting in touch with my local MP I wouldn't know where to start.
Thanks
Gary
