Hello Hunt66 and Chris Ball

Have you both gone through the Vetassess route to gain the OTSR or the ARTC route?

Cheers Stixblue

Hello again Lads

Is the work drying up there aswell as here? I went through Vetassess to get OTSR so will have to go about gaining license when I arrive in Qld. I know I'll have a restricted license and to see those with licenses struggling to find work is a massive concern. Don't suppose that there is more work in Brisbane, are you willing to travel to work there.

Cheers Stixblue

Thank you everyone for all the information especially Steve O (for all the advice on this topic). I will now apply for ARTC before I leave the UK so hopefully can go straight on to a course when I arrive in Oz.

Similar in WA. During the last several months you generally get about 50-60 jobs advertised in Saturdays paper, however the last two weeks there has been about 16 each week for Electricians
