Hi, am a bit confused and was just wondering do you fill out the ARTC Application form on-line or can you apply to get it sent to an aussie address to complete and send back?

Any help would be great? Thanks G

copy it into your own pc ( last page ) fill it in print it out and post to australia
you`ll need a au address ( use a mates or a rellies ) as they wont post the certificate overseas

Do i also need detailed references from all of my employers or just the latest company which i've been with for 4 and a half years?

all of them and get it worded to follow the artc`s own guidelines
ie

What are tradespeople in Australia expected to be capable of?
You must demonstrate that you are capable of doing the same range of work at the same level of skill as a tradesperson trained in Australia.

The work of a tradesperson includes:

reading work instructions and technical drawings common to the trade;
planning independently the method and order of doing a job;
using measuring instruments correctly;
marking out, laying out and setting up trade work;
selecting appropriate materials, tools, machines and equipment;
making appropriate settings on tools, machines and equipment;
performing trade work independently; and
checking and/or testing work against established standards.
You must also demonstrate that you have sufficient theoretical or underpinning knowledge of the trade.

the easyist way of doing this is to write it yourself
after all an employer wont put something in writing that isnt true
and it takes the pressure of them taking time out to write such a long reference
