Howdy Folks,
My name is Danny, I am a 37 year old married man with a one year old boy.
I'm looking at moving over to Cyprus as I have recently become a father and want to raise my son in a slower paced environment so I may get more involved with raising him with my wife. I am currently working as an electrician over here in blighty but, would be quite happy transferring my skills into another profession to make the move work for guaranteed employment. I'd like to get to know others that have been in similar circumstances and have already been through their process and settled in Cyprus, to get a better perspective. With that said, if anyone can relate please, get in contact.
In the meantime I'll start being nosey and digging up what I can find here.
All the best everyone and thanks in advance for any help.

I wish you luck. If you need to work, then sadly you are going to find it very difficult to move post B-word. The usual 'pink slip' does not come with a work visa. Unless you have a passive income (ie not working: income from pension or investments) then it's now very difficult indeed. This is not a recommendation from me, but I believe there is a well-known company used by many successful British emigrants called Gwennys red tape services. Perhaps google for that - it will at least lead you to other fora? There are also many facebook groups related to the subject that might be more active than this forum.
