You also have to realise that this is a Greek airline, and they are targeting the Greek Cypriot market as well, and the highest number of Greek Cypriots live in the South.

Easyjet is not a Greek airline. Prices on easyjet from Southern airports are dirt cheap but from Manchester they are a fortune. What about the rest of the airports in the North? Do they think everyone in the North is rich and can afford to pay through the nose for flights?

The article is about Aegean Airlines, a Greek airline. There are reasons for the price difference on other airlines i presume, volume, landing charges etc, i do not know.
This is a start, so lets hope they expand the service.

Yes Zygiman I can read and am well aware what the article was about.
I am simply making the point that the North of England is forgotten most of the time and the South, especially London gets everything.

'When a new business wants to start up, they do a feasability study, like yourselves with your business, so they use different methods to achieve their answers, like market research etc.
There is a logical reason for this anomaly, and it probably comes down to a financial reason.
We are all not privileged to this information, only what we read in the press i'm afraid.
