I live in Cyprus and, in the next few months will be going abroad and need to change my currency into Romanian currency, Shekels and Canadian dollars. If I were in the UK I would do this through moneysavingexpert.com but, as it is, I have no idea how to do this apart from the fact that banks, apparently, charge an arm and a leg, any advice anybody?

There are many FX companies in Cyprus, suggest you try these.

I'd look around for a reputable foreign exchange company. They can monitor the currency market for you and give advice on when is best to trade. Typically they can save you up to 4% on the exchange rate compared to a bank, which is rather significant if you're emigrating, buying overseas property or sending large sums internationally.

No, I just am going on several trips abroad from Cyprus on business so need some cash as not all places in all countries accept credit cards.

There are plenty of money exchange agents which give much better rates than banks.
If you live in the Paphos area there is a really good guy in the plaza at the sea front. The one with the captains view restaurant at the entrance.
