At this stage you can use YOUR income if you are working.

Apart from that he needs to get a new job asap.

can this work please advise
He currently has 4 pay slips. Which add up to approximately £6000 over 4 months ( this was non salaried)
if he gets another job through an agency. And works to meet the remaining threshold. So earns £3300 over the next coming months. Can he still apply for the 5 year route to settlement?
I'm not working unfortunately

He'll need to apply under Cat B if he gets a job before the application.
He must show he is earning 18,600 GBP in new job, and show that he has earned 18,600 GBP in past 12 months, so will need 12 months of paylips.

Read below Page 23 on how to apply under Cat B

What is so bad about being put on the 10 year route - if you did not have this option you could be facing being asked to leave the country.

he worked from november 2020 upto August 2021 in one job which was through an agency. After that he has worked from January 2022 up june 2022 which is this job that he has lost. So can he use the payslips from this job, (he has 4) and then find a new job and use the payslips from there?
he is due to apply for his flr m in August. visa expires in September

we do not want to fall into the 10 year route as it is financially difficult to be applying for an extension every 2.5 years, 3 times it is i think.

Not sure I understand what you are trying to do; but you cannot add the payslips from his old job to any from his new job to make the required 18,600 GBP per annum

What you need to do is:

- Get a new job showing he is earning 18,600 GBP (you can add savings to make up shortfall). He will need 2 or 3 payslips from this job
- Provide payslips to show that in the 12 months prior to the August application he made 18,600 GBP. So, if by August he has 2 payslips from his new job he can use these plus 10 others back to August '21 to show he earned 18,600 GBP from August '21 to August '22.
