UK spouse visa from US - biometrics/uploading docs questions
Hi all,
We're planning to submit the online application in the coming days and upload docs. I was hoping to get some advice for scanning/uploading docs and the biometrics appt, if applying from the US.
My questions are:
- are you prompted by VFS to scan/upload docs as soon as you've submitted the online application?
- can you upload docs gradually until your biometrics, or do you only one have one chance to upload docs/ have to upload docs on the same day as the online submission
- do you upload docs before you pay for priority or after you've paid for priority? Do you upload the priority processing receipt or send it to the scanning hub, even if you're not sending other docs?
Regarding the biometrics appt:
- if you have your appt at an ASC, is it 5 working days after the appt to send your passport to VFS or is it 5 consecutive days?
- if you have uploaded your docs, do you still need to send some docs, eg priority processing receipt/stamped biometrics? Or do people still send all their docs too?
- As we are applying from NYC, can you physically drop off the passport with the return shipping labels etc to the NYC address in person?
