Hi, a question on the spouse visa extension - The online form says - if you left the UK where would you go, and 'Are there any factors which would make it difficult or impossible for you to integrate and establish a private life in that country?' - is it enough to state that spouse and child were born in the UK and they would struggle to integrate without providing more details (not sure what else we would need to add but have seen a large word count allowance for this) - and include their birth certificates as evidence?

The question refers to you, the applicant, not your sponsor or child.

This question really troubled us when my wife was applying for FLR, but after checking we discovered that the answer for us was to say that we could live in China and that there were no reasons that we could not do so. Apparently the purpose of the question is to determine if you are prevented by political or other reasons from living somewhere else, not to see if you can go elsewhere and therefore refuse your application.
