Default Spousal Visa Application Service?

I am a UK Citizen with a Canadian wife. We more than qualify financially, actually more than 50 x the requirement. We have no working income as we are retired. But do have income from investment Interest, US Social Security, UK State Pension and Canadian Pensions.

I would rather pay a service to do it for us. Do these services exist and where would I find them and how can we check their credentials etc. I emailed a couple on the net but they never replied.

Thanks in advance for any help.

They probably do exist, BUT you will have to provide all the information for them to make the application, which means you are paying them to put a number of forms you have got into an envelope and posting it. Much better to do it yourself, and a lot cheaper, and people on this forum will be happy to help you through the application and they won't charge you either.

An immi advisor will help you, make sure they’re registered with OISC. Earning nearly a million quid a year is lovely but won’t necessarily make your case any easier over somebody earning less, so if you do decide to use someone, make sure you search for reviews etc

My best advice is to do it your self, you can check step by step guide for spouse visa on Migrate.org.uk it is for free if you want to do it your self
Before i found this website my parents hired and they were good, they managed to get my father the visa within 8 weeks, with a previous refusal when they did it on their own

you can look them up and check if they suit your needs

So, if you have income from pensions equating to 18,600 GBP per annum you have one of the easiest ways to qualify for a spouse visa.

You can complete the application form wherever you live and move over together......

Take a look at the application form as per this website:

https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa

As per your earlier posts regarding setting up a new home in the UK, you could do that prior to completing the application, travel back to your home country, apply for priority service (sounds like that would not be a monetary problem for you) and travel back together when visa issue.

Thanks, as mentioned as we are both fully retired, we do not have an income as such, just a nest egg that does have some investment return. I though one could also do it on capital alone.

If you have the equivalent of £62,500 pounds in cash savings, and have held those funds for at least 6 months in an account that meets the criteria, then that is sufficient to meet the financial requirements.

You said you had income from US Social Security and UK Pensions and Canadian Pensions ........

Have you read the document below as to what you can use to qualify:

Thanks again we easily qualify from dividends from our nest egg, we do roll 50% of it back into before tax funds (US IRA) so half is taxable and classified as income, but still above the requirement. All are invested in the US as fixed income. We do not currently take out SS and UK State Pension though although we are entitled to it, the Canadian pension is small and would not qualify on it's own. I think we would still prefer a service to do it for us, any idea of the fees they charge not including the UK application Fees.

You can, as above, £62,500, if you have over 50 times that then you're sorted! You just need to show the savings, don't worry about dividends etc.

Good luck.

Depends on how those savings are held. The OP may need to apply using the income derived from his investments rather than the capital amount.
