Which form for an ancestry dependency visa?
Hi!
Quick question for a friend - he has an ancestry visa no problems but can't figure out which form his wife needs to complete. She previously filled out the wrong form so UK Immigration have asked her to fill in the right form, but we're still not sure which one this is.
I've done some research and can't decide if it should be the VAF2 form, or the VAF1?
Has anyone successfully applied for this visa and knows which is the right form - my friend is looking at spending $200 on a migration agent just to find out which form to complete!!!
Any advice gratefully received, cheers! Cez

You have not supplied enough information, are you going to settle in the uk? If yes then your wife will need a settlement visa and you would be the sponsor, VAF 2, tell that to your friend, but maybe your wife too has another type of connection to the UK and could also come on another visa

Hi panhandle, thanks for your reply! At the moment they're just going to the UK for a couple of years. The wife doesn't have any connections to the UK and only has the ancestry dependency visa or the working holiday visa to choose from. I think you're right with the VAF2 form and it seems to be what the Home Office's website says as well. cheers!

Your partner and any dependent children aged under 18 can apply to come with you to the UK or join you here. They should also apply online or using application form VAF2.
