Re: EEA2 residence card, please help to complete.
eea1 is a residence certificate for eea citizens.
eea2 is a residence card for non-eea citizens.
you can find all this info on the Home Office website: https://www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immi...a-commonwealth.

It took a friend of mine exactly three months to receive theirs earlier this year.

Re: EEA2 residence card, please help to complete.
Hi all. What a great source of information!! I was hoping to get some help and have a couple of things clarified by anyone who has or is also applying for their EEA2 residence card.
My husband (who is currently here on a EEA family permit) is about to apply for an EEA2 residence card and I'm not sure which employment section I need to complete as the EU citizen exercising treaty rights. I have been in the UK for a few years as an EU citizen and I work as a consultant/contractor ie through my own limited company. Currently I am between contracts - last contract finished in August and I'm not on any job seeking benefits. Do I complete the self employed section or employed section and list my own company as my employer?
As proof of previous employment - can I just use my HMRC personal and company tax returns from the last tax year (so 2012 - 2013). Current years (2013 - 2014) are being produced now by my accountants.
My husband (non EU) has also started working - do we include that information anywhere or is that irrelevant.
Thanks in advance for your help!
