Average Solicitor Fees
I apologise for the vague question. My American girlfriend and I are looking to get married and apply for a spouse visa. We are thinking the ‘easiest’ way to reduce stress would be to get a U.K. solicitor to help. I figured use a U.K. solicitor since I am from the U.K.
If anyone has got married and then had help from a solicitor I was wondering on average how much would this cost. I know the cost of the Visa itself but how much on average would the legal advise/paperwork etc cost?

Unfortunately it's a bit like asking, "How much is a suit?" Depends on what you want; there's off-the-rack Primark, bespoke Savile Row and everything in between. Paying more money doesn't necessarily mean a better service and no-one can ever guarantee that your visa will be granted. Many people will prefer the assurance of professional help, whether they strictly need it or not. Sometimes this will be beneficial; sometimes your expensive legal aide can stuff up something you could have done yourself correctly and for free.
If you are still keen to seek legal advice I think a better question may be, "How much can you afford?", and work back from there.
