Hi guys

On appendix 2 there is a question asking for date you first met your sponsor.

Me and my husband met in childhood about 20 years ago as we had family terms. Then we both lost contact and were reintroduced by our parents in 2015, got married in 2017.

What date do I put? Are they asking for very first time we met in life or they asking when we met as adults with the intention of relationship? Please clarify.

If you genuinely met as children then I would state that date, and then also explain what you just said in your cover letter.
