Default Visitors visa

Hi, don't know of anyone can help

my son is working in Shanghai and is into his 3rd year, he has had his uk girlfriend with him for the past year on a 2 year multi visit 90 day visa. They were due to fly to Korea last week so that she didn't overstay but the flights and hotel were cancelled due to the current situation. As her current period of stay is approaching the 90 day limit, does anyone know of any concessions that the Chinese Govt have concerning visitors visa’s.
They have looked into flying home to the UK but dont know if they will be able to get a flight - also if they do come back to the UK they won’t know when they will be able to return - so his employers are a bit concerned.

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions

She would need to contact the Consulate which issued the visa and explain the situation - they will then consider granting an extension - I have an Aussie friend who is in similar circumstances, and thats what he is doing.

Can she get into Hong Kong? Sometimes that will reset the clock on visas for mainland China as they have different immigration rules.

Not sure how tight the travel ban is in Hong Kong though.
