Default Recession??

Hi all,

I am just wondering how you are all doing with your lives in all your various islands right now as this world wide recession is doing the rounds (so to speak).

We are in the Cayman Islands, I work for government finance department, I am seeing a slight downturn in my job with companies going into liquidation - though these seem to be companies purely registered here.

Less tourists, though not a whole lot, the Ritz Carlton here is operating on avergage at over 75% as are many others. Going out to restaurants and bars and they appear to be doing okay.

Hubby is in retail management, they are definately seeing a downturn in business, levels are much the same as when we got flattened by hurricane Ivan........

People on the whole here seem optimistic that by the end of the year things will start to pick up........what do you guys think?

Interested to hear how the various islands are getting on.

Peace
