Moving to Canouan!

My wife and I have the opportunity to work on Canouan for CCA limited.
Although we're experienced expats, doing our time in the Middle East and Southern Europe, this move appears rather daunting due to he remoteness.
We have a 14 month old daughter which only makes a successful relocation even more critical.
Are there any forum members with advice or personal experience of Canouan?

Hi Jrmops,
Try searching through a members posts called "username 34." She isn't active on BE anymore but you may find her older posts useful as she used to live on Canouan.
Also try this article, again it's quite old but may help give you an idea of life on the island.

Thanks Sue,
I had read the article and found it very encouraging, and had also read username 34's posts. We're living in hope that someone out there may have some more up to date info. Fingers crossed.

im also about to move to canouan with the same company as my boyfriend has been offered a job out there, no doubt it is very minimal to do but i find it quite easy to find things to do or keep myself amused, i was just wondering what goes on about visas, is there many expats out there to make it not quite so lonely (even though the locals will be verty accepting).
sorry to jump on your thread but i cant find how to create a new post. also might see you out there
