Seventeen years and one day in Canada
It would seem that on 5th April 2003 I arrived in Canada. It would also seem I forgot this fact yesterday 
Came over as an intra-company transferee on the aforementioned date. Gained PR via spousal sponsorship route in July 2009. Became a Canadian Citizen in July 2012.

Congrats. Looks like you arrived 1 1/2 years before I did, although I didn't become a PR til 2006, but I arrived in Sept 2004. Good lord its been a long time now.

Yes Congratulations! You sound quite the expat veteran now.....you know that time has come when your Canniversary date passes and you didn't realise it!
