26th May 1963 arrived in Canada, have not for one second regretted the move. The second best thing I've ever done.
Best thing I've ever done is a result of the move, I met my wife and we've been married for 50 years this year.
Cheers all.

Congratulations on both your anniversaries!
We're very similar to you ......... it is almost 51 years ago that we arrived in Canada, and it was the second best thing we've done. The best thing was getting married almost 52 years ago.
No complaints about either decision

No complaints from me either.
A few health issues but I can't blame Canada for them that's a familial thing and maybe my career.

A few health issues here also, but I can't blame my career or Canada ......... could I blame my mother??? Tho' not sure where the cancers came from. I think that is just the luck of the draw.
Anyway I survived, without too much trauma or drama!

I've had prostate cancer and been cancer free for thirteen years now.
But I can blame my mother for my rather aggresive coronary artery disease. The cause of two bypass surgeries and two angioplasties in the last 23 years. However I'm pretty sure my career helped that issue along.

Wow the similarities are quite surpising.

Glad you've been cancer-free, prostate can be nasty.
Mine was 2 separate breast cancers 15 years apart. I opted for a mastectomy each time, and didn't have to have any further treatment.
My mother bequeathed high blood pressure and osteo-arthritis to me, so lots of prescription drugs to help with those!
