3 years! about a week ago...
Hello to all,
Well 3 years on, and we are all loving it, wouldn't want to be in any other country. Yes we are still surviving the winters on the Prairies, with windchill its been -46c today but brilliant sunshine.
Kids are loving school and are doing really well, my wife and I are both doing well at work.
Enjoy the sunshine, the clean air, the peaceful life, a lot less stress.
Yes we miss some friends, some we don't.
Yes we miss some family, some we don't.
Life is much the same where ever you live, I think anyway, you work to pay the bills and so you can play.
You get used to the Canadian way and if you embrace it and live the dream you will be okay here.
They have their quirky ways but then you could move "up North" in the UK and have to get used to their ways, or "down South" wherever you are...
We maintain we are in a better place as a family than we would have been if had stayed in the UK, we also think we are in a better place financially than if we had stayed in the UK.
Embrace the life, its awesome!! (so is the golf and the fishing!)
Thanks
Keith.
