10 years and 2 days, to be precise, since we landed.
You wouldn't believe the s̶h̶i̶t̶ uneventful mediocrity that's occurred during that time

Re: 10 years
Immigration has never been so much fun.
Haha!
Seriously, though, I don't even know how to start answering your question. I suppose it's not really anything to do with Canada, it's more about me and how I try to handle situations; how my luck has managed the outcome of events and my seemingly never-ending desire to live for tomorrow like there is no tomorrow. I've had to be stoical, that's for sure. But to look back, and say I had fun during the stoical times, would be inappropriate.
Otherwise, "any fun?", some, yes, I'm sure. Perhaps the fun elements were deliberately amplified to mask the underlying chronic pains and illness stuff that I've developed over the last decade (nothing wrong with that). Or maybe not... I do like a have a laugh and to make people smile.
Looking forward, I definitely need fewer big surprises over the next decade, as well as the opportunity to lead a more "ordinary" life. Not sure I can make that happen, though, unless I stop thinking, completely lock myself in from the outside world and learn to keep my mouth shut!
