10 years slips by....
I realise (mainly because Greenhill posted his thread) that my 10 year Canniversary passed at the weekend. So 10 years in Newfoundland then. At one level amazing at the other proof that life goes on pretty much wherever you are.
We coped with deaths, births, near-deaths, redundancy, disability, family tensions, work, study & the general vicissitudes of life over the past 10 years. Most of that would have happened to us whether we were in Canada or the UK. By and large we're happy. We have two wonderful daughters born in Newfoundland, a nice house and a decent standard of living. We know enough that getting off The Rock a couple of times a year for a break is important (not a problem for me as I travel pretty frequently for business) and to appreciate some of the things we have that others don't. In particular a 15 min commute to work.
One imagines we're here for the duration now but who knows.

Re: 10 years slips by....
Very many congratulations on your decade as a Newfie!
Love and life do seem to continue unabated, even when you aren't looking...
I hope that the next ten years are filled with joy for you and your thriving young family.
Very best regards

Yes, congratulations. Yours seems one of the harder earned success stories.
