I get where you are coming from but my son has long hair to his shoulders I am always complaining that it is in his eyes and he also has a lip piercing and ear pierced, this was purely you are not like us so stay away and I find it very hard as this is my home town and I used to tell my boys stories of what Canada was like when I was growing up, it is such a shame and a real eye opener for me.
My son is so level he just never went back there says it is no big deal and has joined a pub soccer team (football) and has made that his local. All I can say is my son is worth 100 of those redneck idiots, which is not all of them as my entire family live there, well maybe some of them aswell hehe Always good to experience life outside of your bubble.

I'd ask her to call her manager. If he/she reacted the same way, I'd report them.
I think you should go back and settle this.

If I were the owner or manager of that coffee kiosk,I would be thankful
to have the customers feedback on my staff whether good or bad.
It sure helps to correct bad attitude of a staff than seeing the sales figure
diminishing and not knowing why.

ok lets look at this simply.
the girl is thick
there was a previous applicant who as not canadian and who didnt have a WP, she didnt get the job.
ergo the cashier presumes anyone who is not Canadian will not get a job there.

My experience when searching for work has been more success when using resumes that do not indicate that I am from the US, I omit locations now, and have had far better luck.
Could be a coincidence or maybe not, but I have all of a sudden been getting call backs after switching the resume to appear all the work has been in Canada and i've lived here my entire life. I am fortunante that I sound Canadian as I am native to north america.

Funny that because every "Canadian" I've ever met claims to be either French, Italian, German, Polish, Irish, Scottish, Welsh, English (getting the picture?)" so when I ask them whereabouts in France, Italy, blah blah, blah they come from its always "oh no I've never been there, my family came from there but I was born in Canada". Always slightly annoying, but when it comes down to giving out job opportunities all of a sudden they're "Canadian" through and through.
I'm sorry the little twerp would have got a quick "re-alignment" from me, I could never walk away from such a stupid comment.
