Default Working in Canada

Hello can anybody point me in the right direction.
I want to work in Canada.
I am a qualified carpenter joiner with 25 years experience.
I really do not know where to start.
I am a home owner in east London England but have a mortgage.
I'm 44 married with 21 and 22 year old daughters.
Can any one advise me the best way to go about this?
Thank you so much.

Do you want to work temporarily or eventually become a permanent resident as this will make a difference.

Read this link about the Federal Skilled Trades Programme which includes carpenters. there are several links within the page which you should also read
