I thought anyone who was once a student looking for a foreign "holiday" had heard of BUNAC? Thats why I was surprised they were charging to tell you about a free service. There is a US equivalent..but I forget what its called(edit "SWAP"). I guess if you click on the country links it sends you where you need to go.
IIRC BUNAC is no longer limited to just Students, and even "old people" can apply now
Another reason the workpermit.com site looks dodgy to me is there is absolutely NO mention of the additional fees you need to pay to apply for the work permit, only the £50 for the "information pack" whereas BUNAC are very up front about the £156 registration fee and compulory insurance scheme.
