They're taken in Geneva on the north side of the lake. I know and recognise the area. I remember when they where taken, a friend who lives there passed them along after the ice storm that came through. Completely insane pictures.

Someone posted them on this site in one of the front page stories about how cold Canada gets a year or two ago, but I asked them to remove the photos as they where not from Canada, and the article writer didn't have permission to use them.
