I have read somewhere that if I have a power dropper and use a HDMI lead from DVD player or Cable/satalite box my Canadian tv will work in the UK.
Has anyone had any experience in this or info on tis subject?

Home contents insurance company might not like it in the event of a fire though. I seem to remember someone mentioning this previously.

But not taking that into consideration, Will they work??
I have been told the wii will work, I just need to get another power lead as it has an external power source.
