Default WHV and Work on a Cattle station or feedlot

Hi,

I have just returned fromAustralia on a WHV and am now considering applying for a WHV for Canada for the near future and would be looking to get a job on one of the large Cattle feedlots in Canada.

I have alot of cattle experience being a farmer and have worked on large farms inAustralia.

What i am real asking is how easy would it be to get a job once I get to Canada on a large farm/ feedlot or would I be advised to go back to Australiaas I know I can get a job on a good cattle station there...

Also is there any specific criteria to meet for a Canadian WHV taking into account I am 22 from the UK amd have no criminal convictions etc

Thanks

No idea how easy it is to get farm work in Canada, however it is called the IEC rather than WHV and I believe that it is capped/closed till the end of the year.

Would you be happy to work for food and accommodation as I know a good voluntary work website that may have what you are looking for?

there is a couple of feedlot jobs going at the mo in southern MB... thing is most feedlot jobs require a class3 or class1 licence. but so saying that if they are registered as farm trucks you would only need your air qualification for the class 3.(pembina valley on line jobs).

prepare for the next round of IEC or WHV. My son works at a feedlot (West Manitoba) ..they are looking for ppl right now, chances are they will be looking next year as well (lot of the winter guys work over summer in community pastures).
Don't think you would need special drivers license...can you ride a horse though? (lol.. ok, there are other positions available too).
