It depends on:
a) Where in White Rock you are starting from and where in Aldergrove you are going to,
b) Whether or not you consider the speed limit an absolute limit or just advice, and
c) Whether or not you get stuck behind an old biddy or a dump truck. 16th Avenue is a truck route. Although it is very straight it is quite up and down and it's not easy to pass.
Normally half an hour (ish) but I would allow at least 45 minutes until you know how strict your new boss is on timekeeping. At 5.30 am there should not be too much traffic on the road.

Unless you want to live by the Ocean, cannot imagine why anyone would do 0.5-0.75 commute like that and not live closer to, or in Aldergrove.
Having been a commuter, albeit once a week, I would not do it again.

Aldergrove/Langley/Abbotsford is not exactly hard to find housing and it is way cheaper than Whiterock. WR to Aldergove is c30km each way, 60km round trip, at 40c per km operating cost on a vehicle (all in), real cost $24 a day, at 30c $18 a day, $90 a week, $4500 a year some vehicle more, some less. Live 5km from work, 10km round trip, $3 a day, $15 a week, $780 a year - Saving $3720.
